Ancora una volta provo, con Florindo Rilli, a tracciare possibili incontri visivi, mischiando linguaggi e pratiche inusuali, azioni e diversivi per arrivare ad una sola e possibile soluzione. Queste complesse sinergie potrebbero rischiare di fallire ma, forse, ci danno la possibilità di aprire altre vie, nervose e incomplete, future movenze che aspettano solo di essere esplorate. Due elementi condivisi, il corpo ed i fiori, matrici creative che trovano nel terzo elemento la sola ed unica proposta logica: il tatuaggio (TATTOO). I corpi fotografati con educazione e rispetto sono il riflesso mostrato nella retina del fotografo, sono la presa visione di un frammento temporale che non andrà perso, anche se tale frammento è un punto di vista, una idea impressa. Il fotografo non guida, non esegue una sceneggiatura ma guarda cosa accade, osserva il fenomeno e ne prende nota. Per questo, poi, le fotografie, una volta terminata la ripresa, non appartengono più al fotografo. Vengono archiviate nel centro del Tempo. Sono io, poi, che chiedo al fotografo di portarmi frammenti del Tempo perché, come un ossesso, devo poterle utilizzare per un rito che rasenta l’esoterico. Mi metto alla prova e cerco di trovare l’introvabile, di vedere quello che, forse, non c’è. Per questo uso il disegno, probità dell’arte come affermava il grande pittore Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres. Il mio è sempre un tentativo, sempre! Quello del fotografo è, invece, una certezza: la certezza di mostrare una verità inconfutabile. Il disegno è ambiguo, povero, incompleto, parziale. Il Tattoo resta un punto fermo, una base solida dove poter approdare per osservare meglio l’orizzonte. La pelle è carta, ferro, fotografia, stampa. Il segno cerca invano una sua giustificazione ma sappiamo quanto fragile e disincantato sia l’atto del disegnare. Il vero potere dell’immagine è nella fotografia che si mostra nella sua completezza, nel suo rimarcare memorie, luoghi, forme, luce, nero. Soltanto chi è in possesso della immaginazione può vedere il potere del disegno.

Once again I try, with Florindo Rilli, to trace possible visual encounters, mixing unusual languages and practices, actions and diversions to arrive at a single possible solution.
These complex synergies could risk failing but, perhaps, they give us the possibility of opening other nervous and incomplete avenues, future movements that are just waiting to be explored. Two shared elements, the body and the flowers, creative matrices which find in the third element the one and only logical proposal: the tattoo (TATTOO). The bodies photographed with education and respect are the reflection shown in the photographer's retina, they are the vision of a temporal fragment that will not be lost, even if this fragment is a point of view, an imprinted idea. The photographer does not guide, does not execute a script but watches what happens, observes the phenomenon and takes note of it. For this reason, once the shooting is finished, the photographs no longer belong to the photographer. They are stored in the center of Time. It is I, then, who asks the photographer to bring me fragments of Time because, like a maniac, I must be able to use them for a ritual that borders on the esoteric.I put myself to the test and try to find the unobtainable, to see what, perhaps, isn't there. This is why I use drawing, the probity of art as stated by the great painter Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres. Mine is always an attempt, always! That of the photographer is, however, a certainty: the certainty of showing an irrefutable truth.The design is ambiguous, poor, incomplete, partial. The Tattoo remains a fixed point, a solid base where you can land to better observe the horizon. Leather is paper, iron, photography, print. The sign searches in vain for its justification but we know how fragile and disenchanted the act of drawing is. The true power of the image is in photography which shows itself in its completeness, in its highlighting of memories, places, shapes, light, black. Only those in possession of imagination can see the power of drawing.
